BARANGAY TAAL


Brief History

Barangay Taal is one of the smallest barangays in the town of Miag-ao. It sits on the hill over-looking Barangay Bolocaue. It is no less than 2 kilometers from Barangay Banbanan.

The name Taal came from a huge tree named ta-al, once stood in this place. It was founded by Cabesa Osting Posing.

The only known free-war teniente del barrio was Teofilo Miarosa, post-war heads were Agustin Fajemolin (1946-1951), Juarezo Fenis (1952-1955), Baldomero Fenis (1956-1963), Modesta Fenis (1964-1987), Alredo de la Cruz (1985-1989), Juan Noblezada, Sr. (1989-1997), Oscar Nasalga (1997-2002)

Barangay Taal was presently headed by "Slowly but Surely" Punong Barangay Juan Noblezada Sr.


Vision/Mission

To utilize the IRA fund for the barangay development wisely. To bring and give more improvement to the barangay. To support and cooperate in the completion of all barangay projects. To safeguard the lives and properties of the residents.

Objectives

  1. More improvement of agricultural projects.
  2. More improvement of barangay road.
  3. Additional source of income of water supply in the barangay.
  4. More improvement on power supply and communication facilities

Strategies

  1. Strengthen linkage and coordination with provincial government.
  2. Strengthen engineering capability on roads improvement and maintenance.
  3. To improve and prepare budget for the purchase of the equipments.
  4. To improve past and immediate communication from barangay to municipality.
  5. Conduct inventory unserved barangay household.
  6. Organized user in the barangay and conduct management training.
  7. Source out funding for additional lines of electricity.
