BARANGAY TAN-AGAN


Brief History

Based on the book, History of Miag-ao, by Elias N. Failagao, Barangay Tan-agan got its name from Tan-ag, which was once famous and abundant in this place. The former Cabezas were Cabesa Menang, Teniente Luis Mucho, Bernardo Monta, Ruperto Andag, Rufino Misola, Francisco Nagallo (1956-1959), Alfredo Nollasco (1959-1960) and Alfonso Fermindoza (1960-1963), Barangay Captains were Cezar Fallarcon (1963-1972), Antero Nagallo (1972-1989), Joaquin Tesoro Jr. (1989-1997), Cristobal Patricio (1997-2002). Barangay Tan-agan is bounded by Barangay Cubay and Cubay Ubos in the North and Northwest, Barangay Indag-an in the South, Barangay Paro-on in the West and Tumagboc River in the East. It has a soil suitable for agricultural crops during summer season.


Vision/Mission

Barangay Tan-agan is seen in three to five years as a peaceful place, the people are united and the community cooperating with the barangay officials for the beautification of the barangay. A community of respectful and God-fearing people.
