Barangay Caitib is one of the 119 barangays of Miag-ao, Iloilo. It is 7 kilometers away from the poblacion and it is locate along the national road making it accesible by all kinds of land transportation. The barangay is bounded in the east by Barangay Bugtong Naulid, in the west by Barangay Baraclayan, in the north by the Municipality of Igbaras and in the south by Barangay Maricolcol. It has three sitios namely: Moro, Gines and Pihak Suba.
Most of the people in the barangay engaged in farming, tuba production and livestock raising. Most of the agricultural areas are planted with rice, corn and coconut (seasonal).
Barangay Caitib celebrated its patronal fiesta every 8th day of December in honor of its patron saint La Purisima Concepcion which also help the people of the barangay become more religious.
Caitib, like other barangays in the country, is headed by its Punong Barangay and assisted by seven Sangguniang Barangay. The barangay also has a Secretary and Treasurer and a SK Chairman who is the head of the Sangguniang Kabataan. There are ten barangay tanods and each of them is assigned to the different sitios and they are responsible for ensuring peace and order in the barangay.

A productive community, peaceful and orderly barangay for a better education and model of good governance and a drug free barangay. Eliminating poverty. Develop and maintain a clean and green environment. Prohibit the youths and students from drug or gambling activities. Constituents as God fearing and active in church participation.
