Barangay Taal is one of the smallest barangays in the town of Miag-ao. It sits on the hill over-looking Barangay Bolocaue. It is no less than 2 kilometers from Barangay Banbanan.
The name Taal came from a huge tree named ta-al, once stood in this place. It was founded by Cabesa Osting Posing.
The only known free-war teniente del barrio was Teofilo Miarosa, post-war heads were Agustin Fajemolin (1946-1951), Juarezo Fenis (1952-1955), Baldomero Fenis (1956-1963), Modesta Fenis (1964-1987), Alredo de la Cruz (1985-1989), Juan Noblezada, Sr. (1989-1997), Oscar Nasalga (1997-2002)
Barangay Taal was presently headed by "Slowly but Surely" Punong Barangay Juan Noblezada Sr.
