Brief History
Based on the book, History of Miag-ao, by Elias N. Failagao, Barangay Tan-agan got its name from Tan-ag, which was once famous and abundant in this place. The former Cabezas were Cabesa Menang, Teniente Luis Mucho, Bernardo Monta, Ruperto Andag, Rufino Misola, Francisco Nagallo (1956-1959), Alfredo Nollasco (1959-1960) and Alfonso Fermindoza (1960-1963), Barangay Captains were Cezar Fallarcon (1963-1972),
Antero Nagallo (1972-1989), Joaquin Tesoro Jr. (1989-1997), Cristobal Patricio (1997-2002). Barangay Tan-agan is bounded by Barangay Cubay and Cubay Ubos in the North and Northwest, Barangay Indag-an in the South, Barangay Paro-on in the West and Tumagboc River in the East.
